I've been working 1.5 months with a 13 year old girl. Diagnosed with Asperger's. Hair pulling for quite some time. Encoparesis (stool holding) and more importantly leaking. Had umbilical hernia operation at 3 years old; UTI's regularly starting at 4 yrs; one duration prophylactic antibiotics 4 months; really smart, loves to read, computer apps geek, empathetic (I think with under dogs), but is "all about who has the power", never "lets up"; argues/ oppositional. Very interesting girl actually. Menstruating 6 months, no real exacerbation re PMS. May be hypoglycemic. On abilify (though not diagnosed bipolar) but anxiety, depression, over emotional; also adderal, clonidin (sleep/relax) and prozac generic too extremes out of behavior.Started addressing luetic miasm via draininag the liver and Gammadyn MnCo; HMF Intensive, Unda 2, 20, 258, calmgen, chromium oligo, vitamin c sodium ascorbate, Fish oil. Unda 24 and Tilia added in after one month. Belladonna (read hair pulling support) and Aurum alternating Sundays; and Lycopodium/ Coffea alternating daily. Cortisol starts low but elevated rest of day and at night at top of reference range. Secretory IgA depressed. I thought that getting her off double adult dose of Miralax and getting bowels to move easier would eliminate leaking. Partial success: only taking 1/2 adult dose miralax (when off Miralax completely bowels less regular and leaking continued); other fibers not yet sufficient, so did not want to trigger encoparesis activity due to discomfort). Bowels way better with probiotics and 1/2 adult dose miralax and vitamin C.She is calmer. Waking more easily. It was the holiday season so we are just starting gluten and dairy free diet.I am going to start nervous system drainage - thinking 9, 22, 210 and harmonizing and expect to see good things; probably add in Prunus Amygdalus Gemmo (DT spoke about OCD implication). More adrenal support. Magnesium. Thinking excitatory molecules, glutamate so thinking theanine (although have not tested). The leaking bowels are most distressing issue. Have you seen this and have any comments, experience with this. Homeopathics for leaking bowels, others to consider for trichotillomania?Thank you so much for any comments.

Magnesium for sure, as sometimes there is constipation with loose stool leaking around the impacted stool. Karon-, ND Bambu Clinic Portland, OR
