I have quite a few women age ranging from mid 30s to mid 50s who are all presenting with histmaine reactions that we cant seem to control. I have looked at food sensitivities and thyroid control but these are excessive cases and outside of quercitin, vit c, bromelain, sinugem, black currant adrenal support thyroid support and avoiding foods we have identified, How do I help them no be so reactive and produce so much histamine? Any clue ? Im at a loss. Have tried acute homeopathics like apis medorrhinum, urtica urens, rhus tox and histaminum as well. HELP!!!!!!It doesnt seem right that someone should have hives every time they eat or with my other woman, ongoing hives since Janaury. Any thoghts from an UNDA point of view on why this is occuring? I keep trying to come up with biochemistry or physiological reasoning but am at a stand still. ODell ND Bedford, NH Homeopathic E-Coli for UC - Q

I have a patient with UC that I’d like to attempt to desensitize to his own gut flora in an attempt to heal the disease. In addition to Undas for the gut and miasm, I’m thinking of giving him homeopathic E-coli along with high dose probiotics. Has anyone used this before? I’m not certain about the details, in particular dosing and how long the protocol needs to continue. I’m thinking of starting with a 12c and slowly building to higher potencies perhaps monthly. He has responded poorly to castor oil as it flares his UC but feel that the castor oil would be a good adjunct during this treatment..perhaps a little on a cotton ball in the belly button will do the trick? Lastly, any suggestions on where to purchase homeopathic E-coli? If any of you fine docs out there could confer your extensive experience and knowledge on this subject, it would be much appreciated!! Have a great weekend and thanks for your help! Dr. Cheri KingColorado Natural Health Centerdrking@...

Hello - I started breaking out in hives a couple of months ago, with

really unclear triggers. What I have finally come to is high stress causing

hives. You may want to address their stress level and see what that does for

the hives.

Other thoughts are: Depending on the test for food sensitivities - I might

revisit that. Sometimes a skin test could be helpful for dust mites, feathers,

or mold that people may be exposed to frequently. Plant Sterols may be helpful

to lower the overall antibody load. I have been seeing many people allergic to

pineapple - which means the bromelain could be making their symptoms worse.

Neti pot is usually helpful, high dose acidophilus to increase tolerance

response (I would assume you are doing that), castor oil packs. I would also

consider Vitamin A. It can increase tolerance response - or increase TH1 which

may be helpful when allergies are excessive.

Just some thoughts.

Check out Isopathic Phenolic Rings by Energetix - it's a product that helps desensitize the 6 carbon benzene ring that gives plants, foods, additives etc their smell, and color.  It can be really helpful to reduce overall body burden as you address underlying causes...you may consider giving it in combination with a regional homeopathic allergy formula..I've found it dramatically reduces my seasonal allergies.

I've been getting a lot of the same here in Maine...maybe there is something

environmental up here?? Who knows, but I agree with Martha - I have had success

in balancing other hormones, mainly adrenals.
