Guest guest
We have SUCCESS!! , my DS, ate 5 chicken nuggets this evening!! The first meat he has had in over 4 months. We had to copy the " Tyson Popcorn Bites " in order for him to eat. The nuggets HAD to look and taste like them. The successful recipe... Equal parts of White Rice, Soy & Potato Flour 3 TBS Flaxseed Meal 3 TBS Corn Meal 3 TBS Salt 3 TBS Sugar Pepper (enough to make spicy) Celery Salt Garlic Salt Fajita Seasoning (Fiesta brand) Rotisserie Chicken Seasoning (McCormick brand) I dipped chicken pieces in egg and then the above mixture & then repeated once more. I then fried the chicken nuggets in veg oil (will probably try other oils later). Tricky part...we use to microwave his Tyson nuggets (this made the breading softer)...I let the chicken cool and then sprayed them with water. Then sprinkled them with a mixture of salt, pepper & celery salt (these were the dominant tastes of the original nuggets). Then into the micro for a minute and out to cool. Then into my baby's mouth!! :-) What a Christmas gift to me! I now feel that my child is actually eating something! I have all of you to thank for all of your wonderful advice. Thank you so much!! BTW..During the testing process we had to decide whether he was refusing the test nuggets due to tactile or texture reasons...the original nuggets were not sprayed & microwaved, I just fried them and offered. They were refused. So, we decided to give him one small Tyson nugget to see if he would even still eat meat...sure enough!! Totally amazing...he kept coming back for more (I didn't give him any though). My husband came up with the idea to spray them and nuke them...Success!!! However, now I have a wild and crazy man on my hands!! We are taking an epsom bath and doing some craniosacral therapy to help him come down. It's really sad to see him so out of control again...we have come so far...Thank God and all of you!! Nikki, Tobias &
