I hope your organization will put out a press release commenting on this important report and remind everyone how important it is that more funding for research and services for autism is. Everyone in the autism community gains to benefit whenever there is independent confirmation of the autism epidemic. Please include the website address of "www.dds.ca.gov\autism" in your release so that everyone will have access to the full report.

RickTOMORROW AM, TUESDAY MAY 13, the California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) will issue a significant and comprehensive new report on autism. In April 1999, DDS released it's first, and now historic, Autism Report...a report that documented a staggering 273% increase in autism from 1987-1998. That report, the findings having been confirmed by independent investigators, was the first report of it's kind to document the rapid and unexplained rise in the incidence of autism.
