Guest guest
Hi Carol; Seroctin is named after a group of ingredients isolated from the grass. I understand that is also the generic name of the group. The melatonin analog in it works in some ways just like melatonin, in other ways it has a better effect than melatonin. I understand it can replace SSRIs, MAO inhibitors AND tricyclic antidepressants, and many people are going OFF those drugs within a few days of starting the Seroctin. This can be seen as a good thing because of the side effects such as poor sleep, and the long-term ill effects of some of the drugs, such as blowing away the serotonin receptors on the cells. The following posted by Sara on another list (thanks, Sara) _____________________________________ Zea Mays: (the plant source for the Seroctin...) Zea mays, a member of Gramineae, is an annual herb with brood, linear lanceolate leaves, unisexual flowers, and woroecious. The spike on the top of plant consists of male flowers, the spadix in the lecf axis consists of female flowers. It originated in the Southern American and Canada now is widely planted in the world. In china, it is mostly cultivated in Sichuan, Hebei, Shangdong provinces and North-East china. Zea mays contains proteins, starch, fat, Ca, P, Mg, Fe, B1, B2, B6, niacin, pantothenic acid, biotin carotene, cellulose and lysine etc. Zea mays is good for body it can prolong life and prevent the cardiovascular diseases in aged people and cancers. The best way is to drink zea congee, or steam zea mays, then make them into zea cake. ~~~~~~ And what is this mysterious plant? Zea Mays is (a type of) CORN.... ________________________________ Duncan Crow > I looked at this website about this product that you are discussing, and > it seems that Seroctin is a trade name. > > What is the generic name for Seroctin? > > What are the ingredients in this product? > > Thanks, > > Carol
