Guest guest
Time for ask the experts!!!! My son has started in the last 2 weeks this very strange habit when he speaks. I will try and describe it as best I can, but basically after he says a sentence he sucks air in his mouth making this strange noise. It sounds like someone who has a tube for breathing in their throat and then talks. He does this constantly and I cant get him to stop. Im not sure if this is a sign of something serious, he is copying something he has heard or seen, or well who knows.. At first I thought there may have been a child at summer school that has a breathing tube and he is copying the sounds (he does this with his audio books, he will repeat things exactly including the dings to turn the pages and any type of music associated with it). His teacher is unaware of any child with problems like this and its just weird. No one can put a finger on why or were this strange speech habit is coming from. We saw his ped yesturday and he even commented on it. He thought along the same theory as myself that he is copying it from somewhere. Suggestions suggestions..please TK
