Hi Ron,

Win2000, I believe that is the most stable platform MS ever created next to

DOS.

I am designing Frex to run programs for Fred Walters FreqGen software, which

does the real work in drivng the sound cards output. I'm only running

win98se so I am unable to test Frex on other platforrms which can be abit of

a pain for I am in the dark when Frex falls over on other peoples machines.

I have received reports that Frex has installed successfully on all flavours

of windows, i.e. win98, winME, 2000 and XP. Trouble seems to come when there

are multiply drives on the one hard disk and Frex is installed into a drive

where windows doesn't live. I just use the standard MS setup software and

all standard MS libraries, but trouble still manifests at times.

I believe you will need a wave shaping circuit to clean the sounds cards

square wave outputs to a good quality for Rife technology.

The pc sound card produces two nice sine waves which are ideal for

bio-feedback and emr scanning. The sound cards inputs are managed by Frex.

Bio-feedback is relatively easy to install, monitor and record for

reporting. Emr scanning is alittle more complex, but if successful, it

should not be very expensive to build the conditioning circuit that is

required for the sound card input and testing. I have only just found out

the sound cards inputs are more than enough to measure emr.

I'm currently working on Frex12, which is Fred's FreqGen support, when that

is finished I'll move onto Frex13 which is the scanning functions. I can't

give any estimates when it will be ready, but I hope it wont be too far

away.

Hi ,

Microsoft have really made life difficult with their Visual Studio service

packs. I was running VB with SP3 for years, no problems until XP was

released. SP4 was so buggy I was advised not to touch it. SP5 is okay, but

buggy on the install, but works better than SP3 on winXP. SP6 came out a few

months ago and from discussion in the forums, most coders re-installed

windows and went back to SP5 which is what I am using now.

For win2000 and XP, Frex is having weird experiences on the setup and it

appears to be way beyond my skills to fix things. Works like a charm for 98

and ME. When a stable fix comes out for SP6 or SP7 is released I'll give it

a go and see if some of these problems are addressed.

> Hello Ken, I am having some problems with mine as well, I have Windows XP

and windows installer comes up and asks me to insert disk 1 of my Dell Image

Expert which I don't have , so I click cancel to back out on about 3 more

screens then Frex11 appears after I have backed out of the requests. Odd way

to go about it, I really like your format,

Hi Ron,

I can tell you what that error means... well I think I can. When

you installed VB runtimes files which VB runtime file did you choose?? My

guess is that you have the VB4 runtime file installed. Look in add and

remove programs and it should be in there somewhere. Let me know with a

direct email and I will see if we can get it to GO the may it was ment to.

By the way I run dual boot Win 98/Redhat7.0 I also have 2 drives with a

couple of partitions on each I also run another USB drive at times without

any trouble. I have seen HP,Compaq and IBM preinstalled computer systems

cause many problems. I have installed programs I have written in VB6 on

Win2000 pro, win98, win98se,XP home and XPpro, however they all had VB6 sp5

installed. I have tried VB6 sp6 on a XP home machine and it worked too!
