Guest guest
I guess I should jump in here too! I had my TT with Dr. K. I did it while having a hernia repaired. It was really no problem. Okay, I did get a little bit of a fever, about 5 days after surgery. I was give antibiotic and promptly got C-diff, which for me is the norm. Give me a broad spectrum antibiotic and I WILL get a C-diff infection. It is a necessary evil for me. I am just finishing up a long course after my surgery in September. Two weeks after my surgery, with one of four drains still attached, I flew to Dallas for the NEA convention. No problems there. On the third day or so my drainage had decreased enough so that Dr K said that I could pull the tube out myself. I could have if I wasn't a big chicken. So, I went to the first aid office at the convention and had a paramedic pull it for me. I think they were quite interested in it all. They usually get people when they are all messed up, not fixed up! Anyway, that is it. No problems. No worries. I think the most painful time was the day after surgery when I started crying (over something hormonal/emotional). THAT hurt like a big dog! All the stomach muscles pull up when you bawl and so it just made it worse. Of course, with the situation, I had been holding it in, Dr. K came in and asked me how I was doing and the flood gates let loose. The poor man! He got me taken care of, pain-wise right away. I may not have been in a lot of pain before, but a crying jag sure made it hurt! You will do fine!!!! love ya! in WA
