Marta

I was in the hospital for a long time and I had 2 people tell me they read

the posts, and they have not been patients. I was told on 2 separate

occasions that they want to keep track of us. I know they are welcomed here,

and

that is fine. I just was letting you know some of the reasons why some

patients

that have had complications choose not to share. I believe that it is our

choice as it is the choice of staff to read and report. I like the staff and

think that Dr. K is da bomb...!!!!lol

So I have no ill feelings towards them, I happen to like them. I just

choose not to share many of my feelings on the board, but of course I am

choosing

to share this one..go figure

I just wanted to answer a question that someone asked.

Tonnie

Tonnie, the office staff is here because they *are* patients! We

welcome them to the group.

I think in our lives each of us can think of times our actions had

an adverse effect on the outcome of a situation. We can play " what

if " forever. None of us are perfect, that is for sure.

I know how fragile life is. Scary. So I don't think about it.

Marta,

It amazes me how far some people can go and still live and other are

gone in a flash. My mother died of Pneumonia in a hospital . My step mom had a

brain aneurysm and lived and is normal now except for amnesia around the

actual event(the seizures and recovery) My dad died in a truck accident from a

head trauma. I would have never known to look at him that he was in a wreck,

only minor scratches and bruising, none on his head. He didn't have hardly any

trauma to the head. Funny how fragile life is. 2 girls here that go to school

with died in a house fire 3 nights ago. is very upset. I have

seen old people that should have and probably needed to live in a vegetative

state for years while young healthy people die in relatively minor things.

I am preparing to take my daughter to Birmingham Wed. for her reduction.

If I thought about the what ifs I don't think I could do it. We all deny to

a point.
