Guest guest
, Is you mother addicted to food? or is she in good control of her food choices? If she's addicted to food, then I wouldn't suggest milk in any form but kefir for her until she IS in control. I'm not a doctor, just been through an awful lot, prayed a lot, and spent a lot of time trying to help a diabetic neighbor. She was not in control of her taste buds and refused to eat things I knew would help her body heal, while 'cheating' with really awful junk foods. I have blood sugar problems from candida and much stress and I can tell you that fresh raw milk less than 3 hrs old doesn't kill your blood sugar, it heals. The protein in the milk balances the sugar, but I don't know if this works once the milk is over 3 hrs old and if the person is eating other foods that might interfere. It seems from my reading though that the only milk products recommended were things like kefir, yogurt, and cottage cheese. By the time I added fresh raw milk into my diet, I had totally eliminated sugar, ate only scant amounts of honey, and ate very few grains (I went totally off grains for 30 days and still limit them). I also can't eat very many legumes still or my blood sugar and energy levels and thinking are all impaired. I have one diabetic friend who is super self-controlled in her food choices and she doesn't drink milk. She does however make her own yogurt from local raw cow's milk. It's not too hard to find a glucometer even 2nd hand for free or very cheap as insurances usually pay for them and you just have to buy the appropriate test strips to go with them I believe. Guest guest
, Pasteurized milk is a simple sugar that digests quickly and raises your blood sugar levels like eating candy. Raw milk however, is more of a complex carbohydrate and digests much more slowly, therefore, it does not raise blood sugar levels very quickly. This is outlined in the Supplemental Report in Favor of Raw Milk. Here is the link to that... http://www.karlloren.com/aajonus/p15.htm D. Guest guest
No, my mom's not a diabetic. She did have gestational diabetes with her last few pregnancies, her mother has type 2 and we have a young friend that was just diagnosed with type 1. She just does a lot of reading on several subjects and we know how GOOD raw milk is for you and how healing, so she was just wondering if there had been any studies where they had tested pasteurized milk vs raw milk on people and noted how it affected their blood sugar. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ :-) Shelton, WA (NW of Olympia) @ Jekuthiel.com Jekuthiel means: God will support -- Luke 12:29-31 <>< http://Jekuthiel.com/ --come visit!!!
