Guest guest
Eva you are SO right! Wasnt the turkey one AWFUL? Especially if it drags a little LOL... Since you may be a little like us how about these questions? Can you handle a glass out of the dihwasher that was recently washed? You know they have that overly clean too dry feeling? I have to wet mine? What about a drink that sweats from a restaraunt? I have to put a napkin around mine? I also dont like to drink canned sodas. I prefer them in a glass. If I HAVE to use the can I use a straw to avoid the metal taste? I guess we all have quirks ha?! Do you all have any quirks????? My son loves doing that, but I can't STAND it! My son got into the balloon popping, BECAUSE (I'm an idiot and...) I thought he'd be better with handling loud abrupt noises if he learned to pop them himself. It's like a thrill ride for him now!!! YEA.I agree with your son completely. See and Says are torture devices! That horrible scratchy sound they make.... bleurgh! Well, I think I've mentioned before that I can't stand sleeping with my feet covered. Also, the plates *must* be stacked correctly (by size) in the cupboard. I can't stand to turn off the car if the song on the radio hasn't finished the phrase or verse that's playing when I pull into our space. Crooked pictures drive me nuts (I once was surrounded by museum guards with their guns out because I straightened a Degas and didn't know about silent alarms). Wrinkled sheets are a nono too; can't stand to sleep on 'em. And if the milk in the fridge is on or just past it's expiration date, I can't drink it (who knows if it's turned sour?). Are those quirks? Or am I just nutso? Annie, who loves ya annie@... -- " If we don't change direction, we'll end up where we're headed. Guest guest
Yes! I hated that stupid turkey!!! HA! I'll tell you what... I hate the way glasses feel when they come out of the dishwasher. I can't stand handling sweaty, cold glasses, either. I don't like drinking out of cans because I'm convinced I'll cut my lip or hate the way the can feels on my lip... I also can't finish drinks unless they're clear and in a glass, because a bug might have flown into it and I'd never know. That makes me nuts. You know, come to think of it, I've never noticed the metal taste when drinking coke, but just about every other beverage, I have. I wonder if that's why I hate Pepsi so much. I have a list of quirks a mile long. I'm trying to get past some of them, but others (most really)... I have no hope. My husband didn't realize why I did so many things so consistently all these years. We're recently married, but we've known each other for 12 years. Now that we're living together he thinks I'm just the silliest person ever. > > > With the holiday approaching and most AS/Autistic children > being > > > affected by noises, lights, and huge crowds im wondering what > you > > > all do for the 4th of July? > > > > > > What do you do to handle the stressful situations if you go > out to > > > the festivities? > > > > > > What do you do when your child breaks down during these events? > > > > > > Do you even go to any events such as rodeos, concerts, > parades, > > etc? > > > > > > What do you love about the 4th of July? > > > > > > TK > > > > > >

Guest guest
No, you're not nuts... just a little particular! : ) I'm jealous, I must say, of your quirks... none of mine lead me to being neat or organized! -Eva > michelle e. sang out: > > > Do you all have any quirks????? > > Well, I think I've mentioned before that I can't stand sleeping with my > feet covered. I do wear knee-highs, though, for winter church. For some reason, they don't make my feet hot. Annie, who loves ya annie@... -- " If we don't change direction, we'll end up where we're headed.
