Guest guest
I found that when I eat sweets or get stressed that one will come on quickly. Staying calm is very important to the control of them for me. If I ate sugar type sweets or sometimes even fruit would bring on one. Any thing that helped before is sure to help again. Blessings, > Hi all can you please help me with my problem.I have been having the most awful hot flushes to the point where I feel like Im unable to concentrate on anything.I said to my husband last night ..and I wasnt joking ,that this almost feels like it could drive you mad.Im 47 and started with them a few months ago and then they stopped On reading the post on D I wonder if the exposure to the sun along with the colostrum Im taking and the Aloe and then the serenity cream ( comes form the States I think) a natural progesterone creme all contributed to them stopping ,for a couple of months and I was very relieved .Unfortunately they have started again and I havent been outside in the sun much except to ride horses and then Im pretty covered up.The only thing Ive stopped taking is the Aloe as I was cuttining back on expences maybe I should start that again ?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated please. Regards a > > >
Guest guest
That is an interesting thought, and I think it holds true in many women -hence the effectivess of treating the liver for hot flashes. However, this patient never gets a fever with her sinusitus, and only a little discharge. She never sweats, no matter how hot. In fact, she LOVES the heat. She has been doing drainage regularly for 6 years, plus frequent liver support. She lives a very clean life, so why the need for so much detox? Another interesting note about her. She complains of being very dry - dry skin, vaginal dryness, dry hair, dry mouth, even the sinusitis is frequently just dry, swollen congestion without any significant discharge, yet, every time I look at her tongue, it is swollen, scalloped and pale - which I understand in TCM are signs of internal dampness. Another mystery. Loreen Dawson, ND Sechelt, BC > > As described by lectures regarding UNDA, hot flashes are a womans way to detoxification as they no longer get their period. Menses being a way to detoxify. Maybe ewhen she has increased sweating be it by fever or hot climate, she has an in crease in detoxification by the skin hence hot flashes are less necessary?? > > > Just a thought, ODell >

Guest guest
Loreen: What is the tongue coating like? Is it thick or thin, white or yellow? Moist or dry? The tongue shape and color can also like yang deficiency, as spleen yang deficient or kidney yang deficiency. The the yang is deficient, it affects water and fluid metabolism, so the fluid could not be steamed and transformed to useful form to moist the body mucusa membranes (yin deficiency), and it also leave the moist accumulation and so the bugs can grow in the moist environment (internal dampness). What is her pulse reading in different positions on both radial pulses? Does she tolerate cold better or heat better? I consider sinus problem always have digestive system involved. What is her sinus and nasal mucus membrane look like? Is it pale or red? Is the swollen due to inflammation or deficiency (unable to keep lymphatic pump going)?
