Guest guest
Welcome back, Ray! Missed you. Kathy, you got some excellent advice from some folks who know what they're talking about, and I fervently hope that you are feeling better. Venting to us helps, I hope; it has done wonders for me. Those who don't have to fight chronic pain on a daily basis just don't understand what it does to you, physically, mentally, and emotionally; we do, and will try to help any way we can. Ken, excellent article; thanks! Cute poem, too. Ny DH said it sounded just like me--don't understand. Just because I got a little upset when he crashed the puter--TWICE--is no reason to say I'm addicted, is it? I THINK NOT!! :-) Sounds like things are looking up for you --fantastic! Doris, keep us posted about your treatment! Mike, thought you'd dropped off the face of the earth! *LOL* Does anyone here know the url for the online university? It got lost in the crash. Looking forward to more chat from everyone. Ray, how's your daughter, and your dear wife? Keep in touch, everyone! Guest guest
Kay, and others, Thanks for the welcome back! Missed you guys. Just got a call from the Health Center at University of Virginia where I went in May to see a new Rheumatologist who after seeing me for 20 minutes declared that all my rheumatologists for the last 25 years were wrong and gave me the cop-out diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. The call was a survey to ask how well I thought they were doing their job. Needless to say I gave the doctor a very poor rating, but the staff were very nice and courteous. Just wish the doctor had been as careful to listen to me as her staff was. Too many people with real diseases that need proper treatment are being given diagnoses of Fibromyalgia. After all, this is a relatively new diagnosis on the scene and too easy to label a patient with it when further assistance is needed. And no matter what is said, when you state you might or do have Fibro many doctors treat you like a mental case instead of a medical case. Thanks for letting me vent.
