Due to the clickish atmosphere of this group, and no one really discussing the issues of HEP-C....I am voluntairily deleting myself from this group.

I do widh you and Liz well..........and hpe you two continue to support each other as you do.

I am very saddened and sorry for any stress confusion or problems that a long misunderstanding between Jo and myself may have caused anyone.

These types of problems do accrue from time to time in online support group especially ones that are completely unmoderated such as ours.

Liz and I created and want to keep this group unmoderated for all to join and freely post messages.

HCV is stressful enough for all of us but this type of very vindictive behavior in a public group is uncalled for self-serving and only detrimental to everyone and the love friendship and support we have for one another.

"We want everyone to feel comfortable in communicating in this group. So speak from the heart and don't worry about spelling and grammar. This is a stress free zone."

This is the closing paragraph from our groups home page.

As owner I have the responsibility to see that this group operates in the best interest of it's members and is conducted and maintained properly by Yahoo's Group Online Laws and Guidelines.

This was a tough call for me to make because the offensive misconduct by a member in group was directly personally at me but resulted in stress and tension for all members within the group.

Liz and I did discuss this in length last night and came to the conclusion that my reply to Jo was not offensive in nature and a warning was given to her for the good of the group and all it's members.

Liz and I are very close friends but act separately to insure a separate co-ownership of this group and act accordingly for the welfare of the group.

Liz and I totally trust and respect each other and each others opinions and views. If she would have had any problems with me my messages or behavior in group she would have spoken to me about it and acted for the good of the group and so would I if the situations were reversed.

I felt the situation with Jo had completely gotten out of hand in group this afternoon which I deeply apologize for to everyone.

Everyone has a copy of Jo's messages in their personal mailboxes to refer to but all messages offensive in nature have been deleted at the group site by me.

I did not give Jo the chance or opportunity to disrupt this group and all it's members again by waiting for her to unsubscribe or leave group as she stated in her last message.

I deleted Jo's membership.

I am not trying to hide anything or hide behind my position as co-owner but did what I thought was best for the survival of this group and the welfare of all it's members.

Any feedback opinions pro or con or concerns can be emailed to me directly out of group at posttransplantyahoo@com or if members want to discuss this constructively can use group if they so choice.

Thank You

Deborah Lynch

  • 5 years later...

I had to meet w/ Livs principal this a.m. because she got hit in the back quite

forcefully with a football. Shes fine.....But, this had to be addressed asap.

I am very sorry for this weeks sophmoric dialogue. I am the owner of CAST and

its upsets me a lot that this behavior continues to persist. CAST was started

in 2003 as an avenue of advocacy for Early Treatment w/EDF casting. Not, Risser

casting or any other form. Sure, we discuss other forms of treatment (as we

should) but this group was originally started to create awareness about Mehtas

ET Method. I am very passionate about ET and so are many other parents. When I

see the role of the pioneer of this treatment being minimized.....I get upset.

Plain and simple. Many of us have been here on CAST since its inception in 2003

and have literally poured blood, sweat & tears into making ET available in the

US. Please understand that many of us have formed very close bonds over the

years and we certainly dont mean to come across clicky.

As far as Im concerned this last tiff was a misunderstanding and I hope we can

all just move on and forgive.

Im sorry for whatever.,....I just want to get along. We are a family here.
