I think it is legal here to buy milk, but only directly from the farmer. At least that was what I was told. If anyone has any info to the contrary, I'd appreciate knowing about it!

I have only just gotten 'turned onto' raw milk, but way of the WAP site and the Nourishing Traditions cookbook.

I would LOVE to be able to buy some, but it seems that the only people in my area that sell it are MILES and MILES away! Hoping to maybe find someone here who either would sell and ship for a NOT HUGE price, or knows of someone closer to me. So I guess that makes me a wanna be consumer!

Hope to be approved so I can learn more about this, and hopefully, find someone who can help me!

AS you gathered from my first string, I am new to this also.

My wife and I moved to a new area a few yeas ago. As we got into the

neiborhood we started asking farmers, freinds, and other like minded

folk about raw milk. You may want to search out a local farm and just

ask them if they would sell it to you.

You can tell the farms that milk. They have huge black and white

critters running around (holstine). Occasionally you will find a

brown one with black around their eyes. (A swiss or a gurnsey).

Actuall I am quite serious. Just go to a local farm and ask if they

can sell the milk. If they say no we can't it is illegal, you have

your answer. If they say " pssst, around the back and I will sell you

the stuff, but don't tell any one " , You have your pusher and your answer.

If you see a man wearing bibs and has one clean tooth.....run.
