Guest guest
These may give you a starting place. Since I live in Bakersfield, therefore, don't stay in hotels here I really can't give you an idea of price or quality. But these 3 are right off the freeway and in good parts of town. Extended Stay America 3318 California Ave Bakersfield Stuidio suites kitchen laundry facility recliner weekly housekeeping for pics: http://extendedstayamerica.orbitz.com/Extendedstay_California_Avenue_ Bakersfield.htm Comfort Suites 3115 Camino del Rio Court Continental Breakfast Microwave/refrigerator Heated pool high speed internet Admission to 24 hour fitness Residence Inn 4211 Chester Lane Laundry Facilities High speed internet Full kitchens swimming pool hot breakfast buffet Of course when you add things like kitchens room rates tend to go up. Guest guest
Kim and Jo - Thanks so much for the hotel info. That will really get me started. I stayed at the Best Western in Delano when I went down for my consult. Definitely the best place to stay in Delano short term. I don't want them to actually stay with me in the hospital. They need to be able to get out and about. Two weeks from home is a long time. My husband is originally from Arvin, so I'm sure he and my daughter will do some " sightseeing " - or would that be more like " archiving " . Thanks again for the kick start. Guest guest
We stayed at the Best Western. My two young daughters (then 2 & 6) accompanied my husband and I. They stayed at the hotel the entire time. When I got out of the hospital we got adjoining rooms. I stayed in the handicapped room, the children in the other and my husband floated between us. Bless him!!!!!! It wasn't fun. It was quite costly. But the reward has been GRAND!!!!! I would do it again in a heartbeat! hugs, cindy lee > > Time to make reservations. (of which I have plenty) Are there any > hotels/motels that have kitchenettes, etc for my husband and > daughter to stay in while I am in the hospital and then I will stay > there to meet the stay local requirement for another week. So this > will be a two week stay. It can be in either Delano or Bakersfield. > Any other unsolicited advice is welcome. > > Thank you, >
