peanutbutter????????????? hmmmm-may try that for my cat Yoda it is 2am

here; if he lets out one more yowl tonite, he is getting a mouthful!

i have to send your post on to another cat lover; she will get a kick out of

it.

watch him for diabetes, though; wanting water and eating more while losing

weight are symptoms. sounds like he thinks he is now human, though.

if he asks to stand up at the toilet instead of the litter box-call a talent

scout!!!!!

Hi Kat,

Cat stories are always appreciated. Have to tell 'ya about my cat though.

He has now decided that whatever I eat (or drink) he does too. This has

been playing out all week. Seemed to start with a water glass on my

nightstand. He now sneaks into my bedroom in the middle of the night to try

& drink from it. For some reason, my water must be better than his. I keep

putting less & less water in taller & taller glasses.

Also, about a week ago I made some spaghetti. He marched up the plate &

started to suck up spaghetti like an Italian gourmet cat. Today he tried

again, but chose to do it the old-fashioned cat way-- spread it on

something (floor, table, bed- whatever) push it around, try to play golf

with it & eat some. This I was not happy about & discouraged.

But the kicker was last night. I got hungry & basically had no snacks

around, so I grabbed a jar of chunky peanut butter & was slowly munching

some with a spoon. Well, this became a major quest for him. short of

sticking his neck in the jar, he grabbed up a gob with his tongue. He must

have kind of swashed it around in his mouth, or tried to, & tried to

swallow it, then with a startled expression , he was not prepared for the

peanut butter sticking to his mouth. Took about 5 minutes of chomping for

him to finally swallow it.

Tommorrow I am going to get some bubble gum.

Have to add a footnote. A friend in my community just got a cat & is

cat-ignorant. Her boyfriend bought the cat some catnip. She told me the cat

loved it-- *he ate most of the bag!* Evidently cat was flying off the

walls most of the night.

Hi ,

Thanks for the appreciation. Evidently you were sending something

to the list as an attachment? The server is set to remove attachments as a

virus precaution. If it was something on the web, you could send the link.

Ken, your cat stories are a delight! Laughed so hard it hurt! My ten-year

old daughter wanted to know what was so funny. She got a good laugh out of

the peanut butter incident and your bumble gum threat.
