From what I can recall, it has to do with government

subsidizing farmers for things like corn, and soy, and canola.. They are locally

grown for that reason, and apparently better for the economy if you put your

money into American grown things, rather than coconut oil, which is foreign,

but very good for you…

Don’t you remember hearing about how

coconut oil is soooo bad for your health? It is because it is foreign grown,

so Americans (or big government) don’t get the $ from those sales.

IN the late 1980’s the soy industry

orchestrated a highly successful scare campaign to eliminate tropical fats

(coconut & palm) from American food products (and replace them with soy,

which now dominates 80% of the market) on the grounds that they’re “dangerous”

saturated fats.

The panic they created was so successful

that it actually provoked a congressional hearing on the subject. Despite

testimony from Harvard’s Dr. Blackburn that there was no evidence

whatsoever that tropical oils were dangerous, the Surgeon General Koop’s

comment – “foolishness”- these hearings sealed the fate of

tropical oils. Coconut and palm oils had replaced lard as fat of choice

in commercial baked goods because they provided a tasty fat with crisping and

flaking qualities almost as good as lard’s. As lard went the way of

all saturated fats, so did coconut and palm oil, the vegetable saturated fats –

which happened to be a 3 billion dollar industry based on healthy fats with no

know negative effects.

Irony of ironies, coconut fat turns out to

be perhaps the healthiest fat in the world.

Although it is indeed a saturated fat,

like animal fat, it contains a remarkable protective fat called lauric acid,

found otherwise in only mother’s milk (and in small amounts in butter

(raw)). It is also know as the low-fat-fat, and it has fewer calories

(about 2.9 per gram fewer) than all other fats.

That’s all about coconut, but the

list goes on and on about the lies we’ve been fed to get us to buy

whatever it is that will be making the big government $$$.

A MUST READ book! It goes into lots

of info on the benefits of raw milk (as well as the negative effects of pasteurized

milk), and dark chocolate too.

Canola oil, as we all know, is toxic in

its natural state (the rape seed) and has to be quite processed to even be

deemed consumable, even then, it is still bad for us …. But oh

yeah! It’s all about the MONEY! That’s the American way!

The book will go into more detail, and

answer more questions for you, but that is the jest of it. It also talks

about all the stuff they add to food, like to tuna, they add some kind of

filler that does not have to be labeled as such, same with milk, they add spray

dried milk and white coloring to skim milk.

Hope this helps!

No, I haven't read it. Can you tell

us why? or is it too involved?
