Not 100% QLD, lived in Belgium most of my life, only recently returned,

I was actually surprised to see another Belgian on the forum.

The link I posted on supertraining from Dr. Yessis goes into

front/mid/heel striking and the Dr has been an authority on the subject

for ages. If you browse through his website, www.dryessis.com you'll

find various articles on the topic. Or look into getting some of his

books, (I own and recommend Explosive running). Based on several books,

articles, studies, literature I've read over the years I am a proponent

of forefoot striking, for various reasons, but also have to admit the

problem isn't that simple and the solutions are not that easy. Forefoot

striking has been linked to plantar fasciitis, whereas heel striking

seems to be linked to injuries around the ankle & higher up the leg

(heel stress fractures, shin splints, ...).
