Kat,

I know I must be intruding. But, would you share them with me also? I never

saw your first reference to this, at least I don't remember it.

Oh well,

Mad.

Your doctor should be giving you some medication to improve the

quality of your sleep. that's the only thing that's been proven to

consistently help fibromyalgia. I'm currently taking flexeril for

sleep, and ultram for pain management. On a 1-10 scale, since

switching over to these two medications from the fruit salad of meds

I was taking before, my pain has gone down to a 4.

If you go to http://www.fibrom-l.org/ you'll find lots of good

information, and the instructions for joining the fibrom-l email

group. You'll get lots of good information and support specifically

for fibromyalgia through that group.

Jen,

You need to have your doc or it you get into a rheumatologist to see if you

have trigger points. If you do there is your diagnosis. Anyway the things

that I do that are not a garantee but work most of the time is take

something for sleep which is Klonopin and something for pain Tylenol 3. I

used to take Vicodin but it didn't agree with me. And the Tylenol is not

doing great. I also take Vioxx which is an arthritic anti inflammatory and

something for irritable bowel. Walking used to help but right now if almost

impossible. I have a problem with taking pain meds all the time because I

don't like to feel out of it all the time. I also take Effexor for

depression. I've also learned that balanced meals are the best. If I don't

eat regularly and something not real junky, I don't become as tired which

brings on the pain worse. Otherwise, I live with it. Sometimes it really

gets me down, other times it's there and I know it but just go on. Good luck

with a Rheumy. I'm here if you need anything else.

Jen

Don't give up though. Keep finding doctors if you have to, keep working on

different meds. Eventually there will be something that eases your pain and

your mind.
