Hi everyone!

I had to post and brag. Sorry! For the last few months I've been

eating low-carb and upping the exercise. I knew I'd lost some weight

because of the tape measure but I was thinking 2 or 3 pounds. When I

went to the doctor in September I weighed 185 pounds. When I went to

the doctor last week I weighed in at 176 pounds!! I haven't been in

the 170's since I was 20 years old! I still keep thinking there had

to be something wrong with the scale. I am SO excited!

So, it CAN be done! My weight loss window closed well over a year

ago. At that time I asked Dr. K if it was possible to still lose

weight. He said yes, but I would have to do it the traditional way.

And he was right! I'm so happy! I finally believe that I can reach

my goal and get down to 163, which was what I weighed throughout most

of high school.

Sorry if this is annoying but I knew you guys would understand how

thrilled I am since I've been whining about not losing anymore weight

for a year now.

Hugs and love!

I find your post to be truly inspirational and I thank you for sharing

it. I have been having a lot of talks with myself about how more effort really

should help me to move the scale downward. Even small changes can add up.

I am SO PROUD of you! Thanks for being a fine example and I hope to

follow your lead yet again! Hugs from Washington!

Thanks Ginger! Ooooo, 160 pounds! I'm so jealous! LOL! That would

be a true dream come true for me. And I am convinced the exercise

really makes a difference. Maybe the trick is finding something you

enjoy. I love to walk so that's an easy one for me. But, there are

so many other alternatives. I hope you can find something right for

you.

Hugs!

Thanks ! It's funny how guilty we feel when we brag, even when

we know we worked hard for something. Of course, there's still lots

of hard work ahead of me. And I feel ready for it!

Thanks Lee! It feels so good to know all the hard work paid

off! Having all of you here to encourage and support me was a big

part of it. So was faith. And I'm grateful for both!

Thanks so much, Marta! I agree! I love hearing about the success of

others so I don't know why I was shy about sharing my own. But, with

all the wonderful responses, I'm glad I did!

Thanks so much ! I wasn't trying to be an example, really. I

was just so tired of being frustrated by the tape measure and the

scale! Knowing that it can be done has made a huge difference in the

way I'm going to attack this from now on. In fact, I usually don't

exercise on Tuesdays but I did tonight because I know it WORKS!

LOL! I know you can do it, too!

Hugs!
