What have you got between the F155 and the power amplifier?

What do you mean by " a main duty of 50 " ?

What do you mean by " a pulse at 66.5 " ?

What do you mean by " a pulse duty of 90 " ?

What do you mean by " big difference between 85 and 90 " ?

At what point in the system are these characteristics observed?

Hi ,

My apologies to you and the group. I shot myself in the foot, and

got it firmly lodged in my mouth to boot!

When I said:

In relation to " a pulse at 66.5 " and " a pulse duty of 90 " . Now I know

that you were talking about the gating (pulse width modulating)

characteristics of the F155, ....

I actually meant:

In relation to " a pulse at 66.5 " and " a pulse duty of 90 " . Now I know

that you were talking about the gating (pulse modulating)

characteristics of the F155, ....

That is " pulse modulating " , not " pulse width modulating " .

Hi ,

Thanks for the link. I'll take a look. Now if only we could improve on

that weak link of the system, the ubiquitous " modified " CB radio. I've

got an unmodified Uniden Pro 510XL and I can't find any information on

what modifications are required to make it effective :(

Further to your pulse (gating) duty cycle of 90% I'm curious as to

whether it actually improves the therapeutic effects. Pulsing/gating

provides entrainment according to Bare. I'm thinking that the

" off " time may well be as important as the " on " time, implying that

duty cycles close to 50% are more appropriate.

Also, I'm thinking that having a fixed pulse/gating rate (eg., 66.5Hz)

may not be appropriate either. It may be suitable for MORs greater

than say, 670Hz, but would certainly not be for MORs of 10Hz for

example. Perhaps as a " rule of thumb " having pulse/gating frequencies

set to no more than a tenth of the MOR?

With my Progen 4050, I am able to set the pulse rate between 1Hz and

9Hz. I find the 9Hz rate annoying to my eyes. I imagine a rate above

say 25Hz would be less problematic, but is not possible with the

Progen 4050. As I said before, even if it was available, I would not

use a pulse rate of 25Hz for MORs less than about 250Hz. But this is

all guesswork, I just don't know enough about physiology/cellular

biophysics.

The thing that bothers me about all of this is that there are so

many variables in formulating a treatment protocol:

Waveshape of the " MOR " wave (including duty cycle for

rectangular waveforms),

" MOR " frequency,

Signal level,

dwell time,

pulse/gating rate (and duty cycle?),

size of the set of MORs for a given protocol,

interval between treatments,

etc, etc,

I wish I had a Rife microscope and knew how to use it, and I was

something of a biologist/cellular biophysicist as well. Ah well

I guess I'll just dream on instead, it's a bit late to worry about

that sort of stuff now...

--- I was interested in the new patrick robin machine also. I asked

about making a pad device, and was told SOTA had some supplies that

may work. Is there any other ideas?
