Guest guest
More agreement on the apathy/lost interest. I take Lou for a ride (and although he was never the nature lover than I am, would at least respond) and while I am ohing and ahing about the new house being built, the pretty tree, the lilies, he is fiddling with the glovebox or staring at the floor. He does not have a problem holding his head up but when riding in the car seldom looks out the window at anything. I am wondering about the glare, the sun, etc. or is it just the LBD thing? I don't feel depression in myself or maybe I am not recognizing it....but more sadness, frustration, anger and anguish. Last night Lou jumped out of bed and ran to the bedroom door which I keep closed. I said don't go out of the bedroom. In a flash he ran down two sets of stairs (not lit) and out the front door into the yard with his pillow in his hand. God knows what he was dreaming or wanting. He stood out there for a few seconds and then came in. Anger and anguish...............and lots of words. Happy Mother's Day to all. Guest guest
I know the glare of light really bothers my mom, When I visit I hate sitting in a very low lighted room. Her eyes have gotten very bad. She also has caderacts...Shirley > >Reply-To: LBDcaregivers >To: LBDcaregivers >Subject: more dittos >Date: Sun, 12 May 2002 16:12:47 -0000 > >More agreement on the apathy/lost interest. Guest guest
Mother's biggest complaint is that her eyes burn and sting and itch and she keeps them closed a lot of the time. This must be an LBD thing like the stuffed nose although both sound like allergy to me. > I know the glare of light really bothers my mom, When I visit I hate sitting > in a very low lighted room. Guest guest
Wow my mom keeps her eyes closed a lot too. This disease is so weird. It causes so many people to react in so many of the same ways its scarey. Lately she has been stopping talking in mid sentence and says she doesn't know why she keeps doing that. She claims that its hard to breath and needs to catch her breath. She blames it on Asthma but I never really see any asthma problems and she refers to her inhaler as that mouth spray thing. > >Reply-To: LBDcaregivers >To: LBDcaregivers >Subject: Re: more dittos >Date: Thu, 16 May 2002 18:53:42 -0000 > >Mother's biggest complaint is that her eyes burn and sting and itch >and she keeps them closed a lot of the time. Guest guest
My Mom closes her eyes too. She doesn't do it all the time. I first thought it was with to many drugs. Now I can't figure it out. And if I ask if her eyes hurt, some times she says yes and some times says no. When I have asked her to open them, she says " I can't. " She also has a cornea transplant and the other eye has cataracts. Donna A balanced diet is a cookie in each hand.
