Guest guest
> programmed to deceive ourselves and others about the extent of > our pain and > related difficulties. Wow did I experience this today. I had 6 days at a company called AGL working through a outsourcing Company called CNI. I was called yesterday, Sunday here, and I jumped at the chance of another weeks work when I had nothing happening. As it turned out I totally loved the work because I was building PCs from GHOST PRO server ( Multi-tasking packet send) and I did both laptops, just 8 today, and one desktop as well as configure two basic setups of lotus NOTES. I was in pain BIG time right from about 4.30am. I had slept bad, and I was limping because I had and still have to some extent a pain in my stomach and across my hips that, on top of my regular pain, feels like I have been speared from hip to hip. Honest to God I don't know how I made it when I was so close to collapsing, but after a few hours I *think* some powerful endorphins kicked in. I was lying to me, and I guess to others. But I did the job better than good. I don't like having to lie but, if I had told the truth I never would have had a really fun day that I will be paid for. Best regards . *************************************************************************** " ...the only person I have to be better than,is the person I was yesterday. You did it; that was the most important for you. Thanks !! It has been good. But totally hard. I built 5 laptops today and the config had faults, and I had to fix 5 in one hour, and the 5 were done over about 4 hours previously. Wow, am I tired and in pain. ALSO, please wish me luck at a concert tomorrow night , Wednesday night Aus time, when I am backing a singer who is covering the song SLIDE. Not much in terms of difficulty, but the extensive strumming may make my hands spasm. And if things work out I may be doing the AEROSMITH armageddon song next Monday, but that will be easy because it will be on electric guitar and much easier to play ( except when I do the show off bits :-) Regards . *************************************************************************** " ...the only person I have to be better than,is the person I was yesterday. Guest guest
Hi everyone: It is great to be back, finally have a new computer, and hopefully set up as before. I would like everyones input. I finally had my appointment for a " Re-Evaluation " with the Pain treatment Md.to say the least it was a TOTAL JOKE. He wanted to let me know that there were " inconsistancies " (sp) in my physicial therapy eval. He even was so brazen as to tell me that he feels that I'm " gunshy " in that some movments I could do with the group of muscels other movments I could not do. DuH, when you move your legs, arms, or raise your arm palm up compared to palm down for example, or swing your arm in front of you compared to placing it behind your back. He wants me to reduce my Mt Dew down to 2- 8oz glasses per day. He wants me in Physicial Therapy, and Ot plus to go to Bio-Feed back. All of which I have to drive 65 miles 1 way which in our area that is 1 1/2 hours. Then have PT / OT then an hour of Bio-feedback. Plus then pay for the extremely expensive parking garage. $3.50 per hour I had several questions written down, one was my last MRI of my Spine was 2 years ago, have not even had so much as an X-ray since, I am having more discomfort in my lower spine, and I asked him if we could do an MRI to compare it to my last one. " I really think that Physicial therapy and possibly some trigger point injections will make things all better " Yes this MD and I use that term LOOSLEY, has a Please forgive me a " God Complex " He would not listen to my reasoning, in that we could compare the previous films to the current film. I also asked for a Sed Rate to see if I'm showing any blood work inflamation. " I really do not think that is necessary " I firmly believe that all this is based upon the fact that I have met my out of pocket deductable for not only my Health Insurance, but also Medicare. So the HMO is trying to save themselves money by Under treating their patients. I have already asked for a referral to an outlying hospital, my family practice MD told his nurse to tell me that he can not refer outside of the HMO. Well I came home and phoned the HMO and they can refer outside the HMO, with a Prior Auth. So I am to return to the pain clinic on this coming Tues. and I'm going in with an ATTITUDE. Give me what I am entitled to. I deserve adequate pain control, plus approiate treatment for my conditions. I do not want to sit around and let them save money while it may be effecting me physically as well as mentally. Jeff jkeith@...

Get that Attitude and take it back there with you and tell them what's what. Also, if possible, get copies of your medical records. Go get them. {{{and pain-free wishes}}} Carol " In the little decisions of life, use your mind; in the big decisions of life, use your heart. Seems like I made an impression with the guitar playing. Now I just have to hope I get a shot at doing the Aerosmith song next Monday. Just as a backing Guitarist.
