Hi,

I'm new. My name is Beverly,

and I was raised on raw milk. I don't think there's anything that can

compare to it.

Now that I have my own farm I want to produce enough for my

own use. I joined the group to learn more about the safety aspects, although I

think it is an extremely healthy product (any problems would be coming from

me). I'll be raising sheep and goats, and I'm also interested in all the

various ways raw milk can be used.

I've raised sheep and goats for several years, but they were

primarily for fiber, however, I am so sick of supermarket milk I could scream.

It tastes like dishwater compared to raw. I hope reading the posts from

the group will help me to learn.

Hi Beverly,

Oops, we'd better be careful when we sign in! LOL I'm in the mountains of north central PA. It's quiet here now. I've had (in the past) chickens, ducks, guinea hens, geese, turkeys, emu, sheep, goats, Hereford heifers, Hereford hogs, cats, dogs, and one very silly wolf. Now just goats, chickens, a few geese, cats and a herd dog. Sheep coming soon. Some Friesians ewe lambs.

Far corner of NW Tioga County - almost into Potter. Not far from Rt 49. I think it's about five hours from you.

Beverly, what part of NM do you live in. I didn't know it was legal to sell raw milk there. I may be looking for a place to move to in the next couple of years and when I went through NM, it was really nice. But, I like to grow veggies and fruits so I need a climate that has some spring and summer months. If I remember, some of NM has some really short growing periods.

Hope you find someone near you that can provide the milk you want.
