What are your opinions of using 800mg of DMSA for a urine heavy metals

challenge test?

This seems way high to me for a one time dose to use to collect urine for a

heavy metals challenge test.......

McCandless, MD.?

Chapter 7 is all about removing heavy metals. Page 149 says:

Dosages, DMSA: Doses based on weight for 8 hour scedules are as

follows for 3 days on and 11 days off:(Divide in half for 4 hour

dosing frequency)

20-40 lbs. : 100 mg.

(Especially for smaller children, start with half)

40-50 lbs. : 200 mg.

50-60 lbs. : 250 mg.

60-70 lbs. : 300 mg.

70-80 lbs. : 350 mg.

80-100lbs. : 500 mg.

>100 lbs. : 500 mg.

She is a DAN doctor. This is a great book. I got mine off Amazon.com.

I hope this helps. I know she has a web site, but I don't know the

address. Maybe one of the other parents can help.
