Ah, but you CAN throw up Marta! I'm living proof! Tried to eat

pizza at three weeks out and came home, had the worst heartburn of

my entire life until I threw up the undigested pizza. It's one of

only two times that I've thrown up since surgery but it CAN happen

if you overeat.

Tracey,

I think she means throwing up is more common later with the RNY and

other surgeries. I loved it last year when the RNY lady I was telling about my

surgery was saying she ate a chicken biscuit and threw up all day long. (after

telling me her surgery was not a problem) And I told her I rarely threw up

post op...all said while I was chowing on cheesy fries at the ball

game.....LOL...Which of course she wouldn't eat because potatoes made her puke!

My friend who had the RNY hates eating with me because her diet is

so limited. She cant have fruit, steak, or anything w/ sugar. She

watches me eat and says " how do you eat that and not puke? "

Hi Mel!

Yeah, I think you're right. I guess I was being overly cautious in

making sure didn't have false hopes. LOL! But, Marta's

right. As a rule, barfing is not a DS problem. Thank God!

Hugs!
