Guest guest
My preop consult was only 2 years ago and although I was told to expect an " all day " appointment it lasted exactly 4 hours from the time I walked in the office to the time I left the parking lot. That included both the lesson with Dee as well as my consult with the Dr. I didn't even think about taking snacks or packing a lunch. I ate a normal breakfast before we left home, took a bottle of water to sip on during the appointment, and we made it all the way back to Hanford after my appointment before I felt the least bit hungry. To to tell you the truth, eating was the FARTHEST thing from my mind at that time! If you do happen to be there all day and you feel faint from hunger - there is a cafeteria next door at the hospital, there are lots of mini-marts and fast food resteraunts nearby, and there is always good 'ol Jenneys and Perko's as well. If you don't can't leave the office (I went straight from the classroom session with Dee to the consult with the Dr), and you think you may feel the need to eat, simply pack a small light lunch of sandwiches, fruit, or something else non-messy that you can nibble on during the wait. Good Luck at your consult! Let us know how it goes! Cindee > > Hello! When I went it was at 1 or 2 pm, but I went from the office to thehospital for a pre op. If I hadn't had that I guess it would be a lot less time but the way ours went, we were there until about(what Marta?) 6 or 7pm? I know it was dark when we left... in Bama Web site- http://hometown.aol.com/mdl1031/
Guest guest
Being the closet eater that I am, I didn't eat a thing at my consult. Prior to the consult I ate breakfast at the hotel and then had another breakfast at Mcs on the way to the office. As soon as the consult was over I headed to In and Out Burger. Nope, no doubt, that I was MO because I ate too much! Interesting thing though - stress eating is what led to morbid obesity for me - now stress causes me to lose weight! Go figure! Kinda like the candy thing - just doesn't make sense. hugs, cindy lee > > Hello! Guest guest
Hi Amy! If you're on the group tonight you noticed I finally stopped playing Sims 2. I figured a full 8 hours of gameplay was enough for one day. (My eyes are sooo tired!) There are several fast food places and a couple of sit down restaurants in Delano. It's a small town and you really can't get lost if you just drive around to see what looks good. Right off hand I remember a chinese place, Perko's, Taco Bell, 's, and KFC. Hugs! Tracey > Hello! Guest guest
Tracey, I bought the Sims 2 but haven't been able to play it yet. My computer is 2 years old and my graphic card is already obsolete. WAAAAAh!! I can't wait to play though. How is it? Sounds like you like it, lol. -- **Wake me up from the nothing that I've become** -------------- Original message -------------- Hi Amy! Guest guest
Mel, Was your appointment a consult, teaching AND your preop appointment all rolled into one day? I have heard that the out of towners who come in and do it all at once because they are scheduled for surgery within a few days usually have ALL DAY (and sometimes into the evening) appointments! In that case I would be sure to find food or pack snacks (or have pizza delivered to the office!). For those of us who simply had a teaching session and the Dr's consult only the day is usually a lot shorter since we didn't have to have all that preop testing and registration done...it was done later at our preop exams just before surgery! Since Dr Z is no longer doing surgery I wonder if there are more patients scheduled for consults with Dr K and teachings? I am curious how much busier the office is and if the waits for consult appointments and also surgery dates are longer now with only one surgeon performing the ds.... By the way....GOOD LUCK TOMORROW MEL!!!!! It IS the day for you, is it not? Our thoughts and prayers are with you! Stay in touch and keep us updated on YOU! Guest guest
Hi ! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Sims 2! Can't get enough of it! I've played every night this week except tonight. I'm planning on playing most of this weekend, too. The graphics are amazing! I'm so sorry your graphics card won't support it. It's true, you need a pretty up to date card. Can you upgrade on the computer you have? My computer is at least two years old also and my graphics card is one of the ones they specified on the package. You'll love it when you start playing! Hope you can do that soon! Tracey > Tracey, > I bought the Sims 2 but haven't been able to play it yet. My computer is 2 years old and my graphic card is already obsolete. WAAAAAh!! Guest guest
Tracey, I am taking my modem in to a computer guy tonight. He has a home based business and is my sister's neighbor. We aren't sure if my modem has a port to add a new graphic card or not. I could open it up but I don't know what I am looking for so what it the point, lol? He said he could get me a graphic card in one day so maybe I will be playing by Monday?? I wish I wish. I am glad to hear that the game is good. I can't wait to play. I want to build really cool houses. I wonder if anyone online has made objects for the game yet? Maybe I will check out welldressedsim and see if they have. Take care. -- **Wake me up from the nothing that I've become** -------------- Original message -------------- Hi ! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Sims 2! Can't get enough of it!
