Guest guest
I would like anyone & everyone (who has time) to give me their opion on the following situation. My son is 6 years old. After years of behavioral therapy he is now attending kindergarten without any support & is being treated like a 'typical kid'. My problem is my son's pediatric denist. They will not allow him to come to appointments except at the times allotted for special needs children. They continue to wrap him in a papoose board even though I've asked them to try to let him sit in a chair. Now for the 1st time he needs dental work. Instead of trying to fix it in the office, they insist he must go to Children's Hospital & be put under anesthesia. Have any of you encountered this problem & how did you solve it? Some friends & family have recommended that I make an appointment with another dentist & keep my son's past to myself. 1/2 of me thinks the dentist is right & the other 1/2 says to change dentists. Could anyone recommend a dentist is the DFW area who has worked with your children? Thanks in advance for your time.
