norepinephrine and contextual learning

I'm almost amazed when I think of how my son responds to spankings - like he

doesn't. He says " Ow " but doesn't react. I can think of other times when I

couldn't believe how many times I could spray him with a water spray bottle to

get him to move - and how wet he would let himself get before doing anything

about it. He hated to get wet, yet he didn't respond.

It can almost feel like child abuse. I'm glad to know about the results of the

new study and I think that my behavorial therapist and I will sit down and

discuss how this norepinephrine problem affects behavior and learning. It may

change the way we deal with our kids, at least without treatment.
