:The cost of ozone versus HBOT

Great to hear that. Since I splurged for the alpha model, I tend to forget

about the Beta. I think I had hoped that my family would get into it but no

luck!

I heard it said the other day that ozone is " a poor man's HBOT " . While I can

think of many effective differences between the two, I don't believe I am the

most qualified to answer this one. Could you please point out the differences,

especially their effectiveness for different applications. I am mainly

interested in Children's developmental difficulties but would welcome any of

your info. Can ozone ultimately achieve what HBOT is claimed to achieve for the

CP and autistic child.

I believe that statement is truly incorrect.

Ozone--it generates free radicals, and would probably be especially

helpful in stuff in the blood.

Hyperbaric oxygen pushes oxygen deep into tissues. That's why for

instance it can repair brain trauma and help CP. CP often occurs

from a birth trauma--I saw CP patients " diving " while I was doing it

for lyme--they had great improvement. Because of birth trauma such

as having the umbilical cord tighten around the neck there had been

hypoxia when born, and brain cells/neurons had died. But pushing

oxygen into areas that have atrophied, brain as well as body, allows

the body to start recovering, build new neurons etc. For lyme, where

the infection can survive in small but not large amounts of oxygen

and tends to migrate to tissues where it hides--cold stuff like

joints, sinuses, etc. By pushng high levels of oxygen into those

tissues you directly kill the bug. Ozone and hboc work differently.

Jill,

I am certain that statement is incorrect. Ozone does not generate free

radicals, which are mostly positive (electrically depleted) hydrogen

ions. Ozone releases negative (electrically charged) O2 ions, which, by

definition, are the best little radical SCAVENGERS going. We've been

here before.
