Workshop for Parents of children with Disabilities- sponsored by PATH

The PATH project is sponsoring a workshop for parents of children

with disabilities.

Saturday, August 24, 2002 from 9-11 a.m. The guest speaker will be

Myrna Silver, Special Ed. Attorney in Dallas. The topic is " Proactive

Parenting At ARD Meetings " . All workshops available through the PATH

support group are FREE.

All meetings and workshops are held at the Lake Dallas Primary School

on Swisher Rd. If you are coming from Dallas on HWY 35- north, exit

Swisher Road (just north of Lake ville)and turn right. Continue

until the roads ends at Shady Shores. The school is on the right.

This support group meets the second Thursday (7-9 p.m.) and the last

Saturday (9-11 a.m.) of the month. The PATH project is funded through

Partners Resource Network in Beaumont, TX.(www.partnerstx.org). This

project services all families with children with disabilities.

However, our local support group is currently made up of parents of

children with ASDs.
