My son actually DOESN'T have hypotonia...just the loose joints but very tight muscles...he was the " stiff as a board " kid when he was little...like carrying a 2 by 4! BUT (isn't there always a " but " ?), my OTHER child does have hypotonia....she has a co-morbid diagnosis of " static encephalopathy " (very mild cerebral palsy).
