Guest guest
Hi Gail. I would highly recommend a saliva test. I will check around and see if I can find the link I had to a place that had you take a sample five times in a day and would see what your levels were over the day. Without this you are playing a guessing game. You may be low in testosterone. Or high. . . How is she doing on the pregnenolone and DHEA? What is the amount she is taking? I am trying to find a proper balance for my own hormonal problems. Have been using progesterone cream for quite some time now. Lately, I just don't feel balanced. Whether it is from hormones or from my vitamin supplements, I do not know. I feel hormonal, weepy and sleeping a lot. I tried to come off the cream but felt like I still needed it. I got some of the DHEA and pregnenolone and started taking 25mg. of DHEA once in the morning and 50 mg. of pregenolone twice a day. I decided on that dose after reading up a little on the internet about the two. They seemed to help me but felt even more sleepy. I just can't seem to find the correct balance. And my vitamin supplements, especially magnesium, is also making me very sleepy. At any rate, I went to the HFS today and bought a bottle of pre-natal vitamins. Illogical I'm sure, but decided if I was acting and feeling like a pregnant woman, I might as well treat myself as such. I figured their vitamins would be balanced. I'm really not this menopausual woman losing grips on reality wanting one last baby and thinking I'm pregnant when I'm really not. I simply want to find the balance here. Has anybody else had any trouble with the progesterone cream and what are some recommendations for menopause. I know Jim recommended the pregnenolone and DHEA or DR. Schulze's female tincture. I actually searched the archives on this one, but does anybody have any personal experience that they have been successful with. Many thanks, Gail

Guest guest
Yeah, that would probably be a good idea. I was talking about having a hair analysis to the lady at the health food store today to see what vitamins/minerals one needed. I was hoping others who had successful stories would write in. Everybody has to go through menopause so there has to be a trick to it somewhere. One of these days I might even break down and go to a naturopath and get a good checkup. But if I can find some kind of balance on my own, I probably won't. Gail > Hi Gail. I would highly recommend a saliva test.
