Guest guest
Dear Ken & List: Wow...! Good memory, Ken! I lurk from time to time but I work long hours and can't always spend time on the group like I'd like. Yes indeed, I developed and manufacture a far infrared dome sauna in Korea. They are ozone compliant and are available in 2 sizes and 4 models...completely customizable, and since you're head is out and you're lying down, not only can you get higher core temps but you can also pump in the ozone to the 20 min. absorption level (Bocci) at 1/2 litre of 100% 02/min. and it works great. We use a essential oil nebulizer to deactive the ozone in the air combined with an activated carbon air purifier which converts it back to harmless 02... I use mine at home in the bedroom a lot and love it, but you do need to be sure to have an open window where you're going to use it... I own several Smarty " saunas which are the first dome-style far infrared saunas in the U.S. and are made in Japan and sold by Comtec in Calif. (I used to sell them) but my experience with them has not been so great...Fujika the manufacturer will not custom make anything and refused to change their resins and glues and get rid of the plastics...and a couple of their digital controllers had problems--one unit actually caught fire and another quit, not once but twice...(I have to give Comtec credit...they replaced them at their own expense and then had to duke it out with Fujika...) and the Fujika unit we've used in Mexico which we put ozone into has delaminated from the exposure of their non-ozone resistant adhesives and glues (I only use industrial grade silicone in the BioTherm). It's unfortunate since I like the Smarty and it's fine if you're not using ozone except that they only have 1 size available and they have to charge way too much...last I knew they were selling retail for around $4000 (our standard unit sells for $2495.00). There is also a very cheaply made chinese unit which there is no way ozone can be put into and which there is no support or training and no refunds...all sales are final...unless you buy from an American company reselling them which may choose to provide better support, and those go for around $1895 or so depending on the reseller. I'm a Hyperthermist and clinician and I chose to start manufacturing these out of frustration with the existing market 2 years ago...we're small and since I'm so busy, I have decided that I can't possibly take on marketing this sauna alone, and I am looking for a stable interested company to take it up and market it for me since I don't have the time or the $$ to pursue the market I know is there...which is why you probably haven't seen my posts on this list for awhile. For those who may be interested, I'm teaming up with a new health center in Grass Valley, CA and we're going to be providing some interesting therapies, including ozone far infrared saunas, hyperbaric oxygen, frequency therapies, nutrition, hormone balancing, adjunctive cancer support, etc. If anyone wants info. on that, contact me directly. It's a missionary clinic and so we're doing our best to keep the cost way down... I have these saunas hand made to order and shipped in container load...we are sold out right now and taking reservations on the next shipment for August, God willing... Feel free to check out the BioTherm " out on my website...http://www.arrowheadhealthworks.com/ Carolyn Bormann, N.D.,C.H.M.T. **************** Ken Gullan - IRI wrote: >Breathing ozone is an issue. Guest guest
carolyn i have been entertaining the thought of a fir sauna for mercury detox. i have saul's ozone sauna already. i find it very good to get ozone into me. but i don't sweat much in it. have you had good results with fir sauna for mercury detox? the two fir saunas i am considering are saunex and airwall. i tried to come up with an idea to convert the saunazone steam cabinet to fir but was unsuccessful. do you have an idea with this?
