Guest guest
It is 4:30 AM and I have been up since 3:04 as my back is killing me and my head is rocking. I saw my new psychiatrist today and was quite happy with the visit. She told me the same things the other psychiatrists told me when I was hospitalized in that for me to be depressed is to be expected with all of the pain I am always in and the problems I have developed. She started me on Cymbalta, and I am hoping it helps me as much as it has helped a few others here. I am getting to the point where simply walking is a hard task, and that is with a walker. I also got the results back from my bone density test done on last Friday. While my arms are excellent and my hips normal, my lower spine is thin, for lack of a better word. It was rated as a -1.15? I think. My RD will be discussing the results with me at my next appointment. I am wondering if this is part of my back problems with all of the herniated and damaged discs that seemed to come out of nowhere. I do have a question for anyone else that has dealt with severe to intolerable back pain. What kind of medication should I seek out? Demerol won't touch it, nor will Darvocet or Vicodin ES. I do get minor relief from Oxycodone (Percocet) and Valium, but that doesn't last very long at all. I also get a little relief sitting in my Jacuzzi tub and sleeping with a heating pad, but it is still not enough and I wake up every other hour in agonizing pain. Well, time to smash some ice off of my head! Catch you later, Kirk.
