Boy, has the price come down from my mother's memory! ;-)) The machine I

wrote about is $225, not the price I quoted. Here is a link. Ed has a

Hi Jim,

there is a machine out there, don't remember what it is called,

maybe the Chi machine, it runs around $500.00, is that the one

you are all talking about? its supposed to be the ONLY machine

that truly does " IT " , whatever that is.

Antonia,

If there is a chi machine claiming it is the " only " one to do " it " I

would have to see it to venture an opinion. Also, one must be careful

that the " chi " machine in question is a foot-swinger, which is what I am

talking about. There are other devices purported to emit chi that are

not the same thing.

Hi Jim,

'it is a " foot swinger " and it claims to be the only one that does the

" swing " that does anything, that it is researched and all that stuff,

and I believe it is called the chi machine, maybe it was the first one

out, and everything else is off of that one., anyway, this is around

4-500$.

Antonia,

Someone would have to tell me why it is supposedly better. Any foot

swinger works. Why one is worth $400-500 I can't imagine.

Jim, When I clicked on the link, it said " fatal error, product not

Wanda,

I don't know if the link is as you clisked it, but in your text the link

is split in two. It has to be whole to work. Here it is again:

Hi Jim. I am seriously looking into this whole controversy. The original 'chi

machine' is by Sun Ancon. And the designer is/was a specialist in oxygen

therapies and he and his cohorts did substantial testing to determine the proper

number of back and forth movements per minute, which would not cause high bp.

Supposedly chaning just 5 swings higher or lower can be an issue. 144-147 is

supposed to be the perfect range.

Also did studies on the proper height for the legs. Too high or too low and bp

can be affected negatively.

So, as I said, I am looking into the Chi Vitalizer and seeing how it compares

and I want to see what the maker has to say about any tests that have been done

regarding these issues. I will post back what I find.

Hi Jim. Well, either the maker of the chi machine is out right lying, or he

believes that speed and height make a difference. So, as I posted in my

previous response to you, I am going to do comparisons on both units and report

back.

I am not interested in taking chances with my health or my dad's. If there is

any truth to this I want to know.

As I have said a multitude of times, I am not fond of multi level marketing as

it makes products cost many times what it should. I really do not want to have

to pay $500 when I can pay less than half that. Nor do I want to offer a

product to elderly people with low incomes for twice or three times what they

could get it elsewhere.

But if the results from the Sun Ancon are significantly better than from the Chi

Vitalizer, then that is a whole other story. Since I am in a position to

seriously compare the two, I am going to and I will let everyone know what I

find.

I don't think it over thinking a simple thing. Would you say the same thing

about someone choosing to buy a less expensive ozonator than the one that Saul

Pressman offers. They both make ozone, why over think it. Because cheaper

isn't always better. Sometimes it is just as good and sometimes it isn't. I

want to know for sure.

Re: better price- Chi Machine-which to buy

Donna,

I can't seriously imagine that 5 swings per minute would have that

effect, or that foot height would be a factor for BP. Pardon me, but

that sounds to me like pure BS. If a person's BP is so fragile that the

foot height or number of swings is a danger, then that person is so sick

they are on death's door already, IMO.

All the rest of what you're talking about seems to me like overthinking

a simple thing. It sounds to me like marketing hype to justify a

too-high price. I looked at the Sun Ancon at the site Antonia supplied,

and did a search on google. I can find nothing to justify its price

other than the claim that it is the first to be marketed. So what, IMO?

I'm interested only in practical features, quality of construction &

price. $500+ vs $225 for a comparable machine is a no-brainer to me.

A cushioned ankle rest is a lot more important to me than who invented

it, because it translates to comfort. My first machine I got, I had to

use a washcloth as a cushion. And, the Chi Vitalizer, like any good

(IMO) swing machine, has a variable speed so beginners or delicate

people can start out slow & pick up speed gradually, or over time. An

arcing (not straight side-to-side) movement is another feature I find

important, both for gentleness with my body and the machine itself.

Again, the rest seems to me to be overthinking a very simple thing.

Donna,

I said it seems like overthinking a simple subject TO ME. I am not being

critical of your questioning these things. I just can't believe height

or speed are that critical. It isn't brain surgery.
