Guest guest
Just broke a personal best and completed a 600lbs farmers walk for 25 yards. I am currently the heaviest I have ever been at 275lbs but I have still managed to hold onto a 36 inch waist. Bill Havertown, Pa

Guest guest
I was at a club that did not have the right equipment for it so I did it with two 5ft Olympic bars. It was harder to balance so I guessing when I am at competition it should be easier to handle that weight with the right implements. Bill Havertown, Pa Congrats Bill - great achievement! Guest guest
Way to go, Bill! (oh and nice waist for 275 by the way....BMI BE DAMNED I TELL YA!) I've managed 316 so far for a longer walk, with unwieldy handles AND after my DL workout and given I'm just 220 and an old lady.... <grin>. Not sure what i can do for just 25 yards and a best max there, as in no DL ahead of it! Maybe someday I'll have a chance to find out... I love FW though, it's a good workout for the whole body and i LOVE the way it hammers home a DL workout too... the challenges in cornering or turning, coupled with fast foot turnover and keeping the whole thing in trim walking make this a great exercise... you can find your chest wall a bit banged up afterward if your form isn't 100% tight as the weight swing can work more than you plan! currently I use an area with a RAMP so I am going UP the hill, turning, and then controlling the work DOWN. Adds to the degree of difficulty <grin>. I managed my PR weight earlier this year UP and down that ramp too...so I can probably move a bit more fresh on the flat? Well done, and may you enjoy many more such PR " s!
