Guest guest Posted June 29, 2007 Report Share Posted June 29, 2007 Can anyone provide the scientific reason to allow a day in between for muscles to recover after weightlifing? I have been told and read articles advising this time is to allow the muscles time to repair themselves. Specifically, is there a measures to determine if you need this time to allow your muscles to recovery? For example, must one consider the amount of weight lifted or muscle fatigue and is there a negative affect if one lift weights two consecutive days? Reference material to explain quite welcome.
