Guest guest
Even if you found the product, he may not eat it at home. My kids eat things at school but not at home even though they are the same thing! Sharon On Monday, September 1, 2003, at 08:51 AM, destinyiseek wrote: > anyone know who manufactures Mcs' Nuggets? Guest guest
Good luck finding something that is like MC D's nuggets. My son would only eat McD's Nuggets. I tried all kinds of products from the store to match. I finally just gave up. About a year ago, I saw some popcorn chicken in the freezer aisle. I tried it and he ATE them!!!! They are by Easy Entrees and distributed by Con Agra Foods. They are fully cooked, so all you do is pop them in the microwave. They also have chicken strips and chicken breasts. I have to say they are the best ive tasted thus far. Your walmart may or may not have them. We have two super walmarts here and one carries them and the other doesnt. There is a number on the package for questions or concerns it is 1-. Just a suggestion from my experience. Re: help.. whats the closest nugget? That is my biggest concern...that he will gag on one that I make at home. At that point, he will never try them again! :(oooosssh! I just want to make something for him that he can eat at home...beside Goldfish! *sighs*anyone know who manufactures Mcs' Nuggets? Sysco Foods??? Can you buy this stuff in bulk from the distributor? Guest guest
You might try going to the McD's website and looking up an email for feedback. A lot of times, big concerns like McD's will " make a way " for the kids in the special community where they might not do it for anyone else. If you could find a corporate address to write an actual letter, that would be even better. More or less outline your situation, and then ask if there's any way you could buy these for home preparation from their supplier (if they have one; some places have their own factories for their products). Hey, it's worth a shot! What's the worst they can say, " No " ? You'd be no worse off than you are now if they did. Guest guest
Oh I just thought of something regarding the nugget issue. Keep the containers from the nuggets. Or maybe the nearest M D's will give you some. Then place a "look alike" nugget in the container. He may just eat them. Here is a recipe for look alike nuggets... Guest guest
, You know, that reminds me of something that happen at mcd's. My friend and I had this craving for the greasy little critters, so we went and ordered that 20 pack to split between the two of us (I know.... oink oink, lol). We got home.. and my friend took this HUGE bite out of one of her nuggets and it was completely raw on the inside. Im just glad it was her and not me, lol. So we went back to md's and there was a line a mile long of people who had raw nuggets. Apparently md's headquarters changed from precooked to notcooked and didnt tell anyone. They were putting them in the oil long enough to heat them up not cook them. Talk about gross... Ive never had a md nugget since then ,lol... grr.. Guest guest
Hi Des, If you go on their website there is a form to fill out to ask questions about the company. Perhaps if you explain about your son they might help you. I was going to try for you but you need a US address and I'm in Canada. Hope this helps you. My son will eat any chicken nugget, I find that when we first started with them he loved the shaped ones like dinosaurs or space ones made by Janes. Also Janes has a pud style chicken finger that is somewhat close to Mcd's that you could cut into nugget size after they are cut. Take care and good luck!! in Ajax. > >Reply-To: autism-aspergers >To: autism-aspergers >Subject: Re: help.. whats the closest nugget? >Date: Mon, 01 Sep 2003 12:51:06 -0000 > >That is my biggest concern...that he will gag on one that I make at >home.
