Guest guest
I am the author of a novel, published last month by Scribner, called A Wild Ride Up the Cupboards. It is the story of a young couple whose child withdraws, and it follows what happens to them--to their lives and to their marriage--when they risk everything and take dramatic steps in order to reach their son. My book has been reviewed by the Washington Post and Entertainment Weekly (both appear online); it also has caught the attention of autism groups including the University of Washington's Autism Center, the Autism Society of Minnesota, and Cure Autism Now. After Finding Fargo, an essay I wrote about my own autistic son, appeared on salon.com, I received many e-mails from your area asking if I will be appearing in Dallas, Houston, or Austin. Though my book tour will not take me down, I would love to visit if there is an autism-related event that would benefit. Both Finding Fargo and information about my novel, as well as a list of questions related to the book, are available at my web site: www.annbauer.com. Please let me know if you will be staging a fundraiser or conference at which my work might be discussed. I would love to meet some of those people who wrote to me with their own stories after reading mine. Yours, Ann Bauer A Wild Ride Up the Cupboards www.annbauer.com
