Very weird, I think. My doc gave me my 1st shot, explained what he was doing and told me to watch the video Pegasys sent.

One interesting thing though - when I was diagnosed diabetic there were all these people who taught me how to give myself an injection & discuss proper nutrition & everything that would affect me. When I was on tx both times NOBODY showed me anything, they just handed me the Interferon & the needles & said "Three times a week" Weird huh?

That is one of the reasons I don't tell many I have hep c is because they all assume I am or was a drug user and I never was. Only times I have ever been near needles was when a doctor or dentist was using them or from the 2 tattoo's I have. And I got the tattoos after I found out I was hep c pos. Just under the mistaken impression from a stupid doc that I only hand the antigens not the virus (long story). I have never used a needle on my self -- even my ear piercing were done professionally. Only way I'm going to get past sticking my self is because I'm ornery enough not to let any thing get in my way of getting better.

I have to say that i never used IV drugs, but I did snort cocaine a few times. I don't know if that counts, and I really don't care. Right now, I care about kicking this dragons ass.
