I lost track of her over the last couple of years. She has been at the Houston Chronicle for one month. For the last 18 months, she has been in California covering the Los Angeles School District. is covering education in the Houston area. She has a strong interest in special education and in autism. The purpose of her call was to gather thoughts and information about the " new " IDEA. She is going to the stakeholder meeting in San tomorrow, and she wanted some input before that. I asked her permission to post the list, and she encouraged me to do so. Those of you in the Houston area, she would welcome your thoughts, ideas, concerns about events and issues.
