A class he maintained a perfect 100 in last year----he is failing this year. Zach was diagnosed with AS, ADD, OCD, and probable ODD. He has always been a really pleasant kid, but something has happened. I got a letter saying he is in danger of failing 8th grade. He may be able to go to summer school but not 100% sure. He doesn't know much about his AS and gets really agitated when i try and talk about it. MISSY My son is also AS and ADHD and is age 14 in 8th grade. I stay on top of his work and he does it all.He got all As again on his report card. I am not sure what is happening to your son , but many I am aware of at that age tend to get depression in addition to their AS or ADHD. I think it is very important to get that checked out and some help for him. It is obvious that something is not right for your son. He is not the same and sometimes that means that something has happened and it might get serious, so nip it in the bud. hugs in IL
Guest guest
He has been very prone to depression ever since he was 3yrs old. He talked about suicide at age 3 and I was floored he even knew what it was. Between 2nd and 3rd grade he was put on Welbutrin that summer. He gained about 15lbs and smiled for the first time I could remember. MISSYSAHM of MANY April is Autism Awareness Month!!Become aware of our special kids!! Guest guest
My daughter is on wellbutrin and seroquel and is much happier since being on that combo (last summer). Much more social, happier. It's a blessing! She did gain weight though---30 pounds!Mari -----Original Message-----From: Missy Feldhaus Sent: Sunday, March 30, 2003 7:49 PMTo: autism-aspergers Subject: Re: 14 year old AS son He has been very prone to depression ever since he was 3yrs old.
