The biggest advice I can give you is DO NOT back down and make sure you read it before you sign it!!! With my son the snuck the work 'may' in before every accomidation they wrote. This left the door wide open for the teacher to or not to do what was written in there! So I am still battling them. Good Luck, let me know how it goes!!! My son hasa had an IEP since kindergarten. We are now entering high school next fall for him. What is the difference between an IEP and 504? I heard that 504 was not as good and IEP was more detailed. If they suggest or push for the 504 only and no IEP, is this worse, better or what? I am thinking it would be worse. Any suggestions? Guest guest
My Mom’s cousin retired recently from a position where she worked with School districts preparing special needs programs for kiddos. I asked her the question. I will let you know when I receive her response. Bec
