Guest guest
Hi Debbie, Get your doctor to check you out. If the swelling is in your abdomen, it could be ascites. Me. I have edema - swollen hands, feet, legs etc. They're both from the hep. I've been on tx twice too & I'm waiting for a biopsy before I start tx again. Suzie Thanks Suzie I will ask next time I go in. what is ascites? My liver so far is "fine" normal enzymes, etc...but could it be that the liver is just reacting to the irritation of this virus "trying " to attack? therefore swelling? Ahhhhhhhhhhh! Thanks Deb "Remember the Past, Live in the Present, Look to the Future."Deb
Guest guest
Hi Deb, Ascites is the accumulation of excess fluid in the abdomen.Lots of causes but if it's noticeably swollen to you, then ask for an ultrasound. Is it tympanic, like a drum sound if you pat on your tummy? Guest guest
Hey Deb: This group has gotten really active. Got almost enough time to read posts before I crash at the end of the day. Actually saying Hi seems monumental. How did I survive Tx. Thanks for the effort you all put into this place. Mike
