Guest guest
How about having a " principal " who attends the mock ARD meeting telling the parent that when the child was on medication last school year it was more affective than him without any medication. My 6 yr. old son (recently diagnosed with PDD-NOS) was being medicated for ADHD last year. The doctors & I have taken him off the medications because they didn't make a difference. Last year during the school year, I had to leave work & pick him up at 1pm because he would be a disruption to the rest of the class (per the principal). During the recent ARD on Monday; I made her aware of what had occured last year. Sometimes medication doesn't work especially when it is used for the wrong diagnosis!
