Yes, they sent me an email yesterday. I still want to be in the contest so I'm not going to remove his poster. I sure hated seeing his cute face on their loser forum though...

i completely agree that they need to be held accountable, but we need to be careful how we approach it..my first instinct was to go in with all barrels blazing..but that is exactly the kind of reaction they are hoping to provoke. I don't think that it will do much good for us to deal with them directly, and may, in fact, cause more harm than good (imo)

Dear all,I have been reading the messages and, just like all of you was outraged by what is going on. My daughters photo was there too (though I couldnt find it among those used by he attackers). 

I agree with those who say that its useless to write messages on the forum. And also dont want to make it more public, if it can be avoided. But t, wether they are persons who want publicity or plain stupid teenagers, the one thing we have to make sure happens, is that they are brought to justice for that. They are in the wrong. I am no attorney, but there are several laws they have breached (my legal vocabulary isnt great, either).

The federal hate crime law recently signed and that will be used on the case of a young

On the FBI page it is possible to file a complaint for cyber crime and , although it is important that the NDSC takes action as an organization - and we should make sure it dows -,

Recently in Italy 3 google executives were sentenced for a video of a boy being bullied on youtube.

We cant let those things go unpunished.

Only the parents who's children were violated, received the letter from . I got a email blast only due to being a NDSC member.

His poster was "Hero..." right? Blond, beautiful boy?

Unfortunately, NDSC removed all the posters from their website and no one from NDSC has come out yet to let us know if the campaign is still a go. I hope they don't cancel it due to these sickos.

Sweet little man :) I have to keep the faith that NDSC will try their best to do right by everyone involved. I know they will. Everyone there is a mommy and/or daddy and I know they are heartbroken for what has happened. NDSC is trying to shut them down but it is very difficult.  A few

years ago several of us had photos swiped and used for pretty much the same BS

stuff.  It took months to get it taken down and several grand.

I just wanna make sure no one is upset with me for bringing this to

yall's attention.  There are now two groups (NDSC, OZSquad) working on

your behalf and I think that is a great thing.  There are also some

legal groups consulting on the whole thing.  I did feel like you all

had a right to know that it was happening so each parent could make

their own choice as to what they should do.

I agree. NDSC should be the ones to take care of this. Let the

organization be the representative of all the people harmed. Although,

filing complaints with the FBI, etc is a good idea, contacting these

perverts is probably counterproductive.

My son just went to look at the site, and he

said that right now, there are only about 165 responses..it isn't even

on their first page anymore...this site sometimes has thousands of

messages in a thread...his advice is to just let the NDSC take take of

it, because if a lot of people start sending in angry letters, they

WILL be posted, and it will spur them on, draw a TON more attention to

the posters, which is the exact opposite of what we want. If you feel

like you need to write, write a letter appealing to their better

nature, and that *might* work.

I am as big an enemy of this kind of stuff as anyone, but sometimes,

the best thing to do is to just ignore it..those people are bottom

feeders, and they THRIVE on controversy..makes them feel powerful,

and makes them even meaner.

I found the site by doing a search engine. In

order to post or find out the profiles of these worthless

jerks/criminals, you have to pay $9.95. However, I painfully went

through all the posts to see if my son's poster was there and I

discovered that the instigator actually made a donation to NDSC. They

should be able to trace that donation and perhaps they have more

resources/funds to log on and discover the profile and IP addresses of

them. If I had access, I could find out who exactly they are. Police

reports should be filed. Give me a minute and I can think of what the

exact code is they broke....it may be different from state to state,

which makes me think of the FBI being involved. I know civilly it is

called defamation of character and I do know that they have stolen

copyright infringement with the NDSC logo. I think every one of them

needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law (jail time) and

restiitution. I also think they need to do community service (let the

service they have to do match the crime....like stand on street corners

in their town holding a large sign that says what they did.) Some

extensive and lengthy volunteer work involving the handicapped would be

excellent.

why would anyone be upset? I think that the people who did it need to be held accountable, I just didn't think that angry letters would do any good.

 

I just wanna make sure no one is upset with me for bringing this to

yall's attention.  There are now two groups (NDSC, OZSquad) working on

your behalf and I think that is a great thing.  There are also some

legal groups consulting on the whole thing.  I did feel like you all

had a right to know that it was happening so each parent could make

their own choice as to what they should do.

I agree. NDSC should be the ones to take care of this. Let the

organization be the representative of all the people harmed. Although,

filing complaints with the FBI, etc is a good idea, contacting these

perverts is probably counterproductive.

My son just went to look at the site, and he

said that right now, there are only about 165 responses..it isn't even

on their first page anymore...this site sometimes has thousands of

messages in a thread...his advice is to just let the NDSC take take of

it, because if a lot of people start sending in angry letters, they

WILL be posted, and it will spur them on, draw a TON more attention to

the posters, which is the exact opposite of what we want. If you feel

like you need to write, write a letter appealing to their better

nature, and that *might* work.

I am as big an enemy of this kind of stuff as anyone, but sometimes,

the best thing to do is to just ignore it..those people are bottom

feeders, and they THRIVE on controversy..makes them feel powerful,

and makes them even meaner.

I found the site by doing a search engine. In

order to post or find out the profiles of these worthless

jerks/criminals, you have to pay $9.95. However, I painfully went

through all the posts to see if my son's poster was there and I

discovered that the instigator actually made a donation to NDSC. They

should be able to trace that donation and perhaps they have more

resources/funds to log on and discover the profile and IP addresses of

them. If I had access, I could find out who exactly they are. Police

reports should be filed. Give me a minute and I can think of what the

exact code is they broke....it may be different from state to state,

which makes me think of the FBI being involved. I know civilly it is

called defamation of character and I do know that they have stolen

copyright infringement with the NDSC logo. I think every one of them

needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law (jail time) and

restiitution. I also think they need to do community service (let the

service they have to do match the crime....like stand on street corners

in their town holding a large sign that says what they did.) Some

extensive and lengthy volunteer work involving the handicapped would be

excellent.

The letter I received informed me of what had happened and asked if I wanted to

remove my son's poster from the contest. They also said the gallery had been

taken down while appropriate action was being sought to get these people (a

rough draft in my own words, but nonetheless, the gist of what they said in the

You told us what was going on...people can choose how they react, right? I personally don't think that, in this instance, after finding out the history of that site, that angry letters would have worked..but that is just my opinion.

why would anyone be upset? I think that the people who did it need

to be held accountable, I just didn't think that angry letters would do

any good.

I agree. NDSC should be the ones to take care of this. Let the

organization be the representative of all the people harmed. Although,

filing complaints with the FBI, etc is a good idea, contacting these

perverts is probably counterproductive.

My son just went to look at the site, and he

said that right now, there are only about 165 responses..it isn't even

on their first page anymore...this site sometimes has thousands of

messages in a thread...his advice is to just let the NDSC take take of

it, because if a lot of people start sending in angry letters, they

WILL be posted, and it will spur them on, draw a TON more attention to

the posters, which is the exact opposite of what we want. If you feel

like you need to write, write a letter appealing to their better

nature, and that *might* work.

I am as big an enemy of this kind of stuff as anyone, but sometimes,

the best thing to do is to just ignore it..those people are bottom

feeders, and they THRIVE on controversy..makes them feel powerful,

and makes them even meaner.

I found the site by doing a search engine. In

order to post or find out the profiles of these worthless

jerks/criminals, you have to pay $9.95. However, I painfully went

through all the posts to see if my son's poster was there and I

discovered that the instigator actually made a donation to NDSC. They

should be able to trace that donation and perhaps they have more

resources/funds to log on and discover the profile and IP addresses of

them. If I had access, I could find out who exactly they are. Police

reports should be filed. Give me a minute and I can think of what the

exact code is they broke....it may be different from state to state,

which makes me think of the FBI being involved. I know civilly it is

called defamation of character and I do know that they have stolen

copyright infringement with the NDSC logo. I think every one of them

needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law (jail time) and

restiitution. I also think they need to do community service (let the

service they have to do match the crime....like stand on street corners

in their town holding a large sign that says what they did.) Some

extensive and lengthy volunteer work involving the handicapped would be

excellent.

You told us what was going on...people can choose how they react,

right? I personally don't think that, in this instance, after finding

out the history of that site, that angry letters would have worked..but

that is just my opinion.

Fortunately that is just a snapshot.  all the picts are gone execept

But the good news is it will go away after awhile.  Usually caching

sites throw away those web page snapshots after a period of time.  I

know you can hold the company caching the page responsible, but by the

time you get them to respond, the automatic cache removal might have

already discarded it.
