Hi all:

I have not posted for quite a while, but follow the emails as best I can.

As you may remember, I was on 200 mg Celebrex 2 X a day. During the warmer weather, my joints are always better, so this summer, I was able to go off altogether! I have not had any rashes for months. I feel very well, and am able to play the piano again. I have not tried my guitar, as in May I played for about 1/2 an hour and paid for days-my hand was like a claw from the use. I have considered trying an electric guitar, as the acoustic requires more pressure.

Anyway, I see the rheumy in November. Except for not being able to close my fist all the way (my little finger can't make it down because of damage), I am doing better than last year at this time. I thank God for this good health, and I trust you all will feel better soon.

The year 2001 was extremely stressful in our house. At the beginning of that year, we had an accident (I totaled our van), my husband was off 11 weeks with 2nd and 3rd degree burns (propane fire at work), my sister was diagnosed witha terminal brain tumour and came to live with me. I nursed her for 7 months, and she died in our home in January of 2002. Within the next ten weeks, my hsuband and I lost three more family members; one was my stepmother. In December, my friend died of lymphoma, and my uncle died two days later.

My Stills' symptoms started in September of 2001. I am sure that the stresses of 2001/2002 contributed to the Stills. Things are "calm" here right now (if you can imagine a house with six kids, grandpa, a dog and two hamsters--and we homeschool....). Anyway, things ARE pretty good here-normal stuff with four teenagers, etc., but good. I feel encouraged that I am feeling better, and am hoping that the Stills' was a ricochet of all the stress we were under.

Hoping for all the best for you all. Thanks for all the support!
