Hi everybody,

I've been lurking for quite awhile and want to thank eveyone for all of

their useful information.

I was wondering if anyone had some good guidelines for planting density

of different types of microgreens in 10x20 trays? I'm having trouble

finding the right amount of seed to sow without it being too much and

causing stretching or too thin and not maximizing my growing space

effectively. The generic guidelines that I've found online have not

seemed correct, so far. I'm growing multiple varieties on burlap,

utilizing an aquaponic drip system and LED lights. I would appreciate

any advice that anyone could provide to me.

Hi DF,.

If your microgreens are stretching and getting too thin, it is probably because

they are not getting enough light. You need a larger light source or move your

lights closer. LED light get very hot. I would not recommending putting them too

close to your plants. I use a fluorescent set up that I bought at a hydroponic

store. It can be adjusted to get real close and then back off as the greens get

larger, and its not hot.

You can sow more seeds if you use a soil less medium rather than burlap. I hve

never used burlap. so all I can say is, experiment.
